Developers break ground on Miami-Dade apartments with $63M in financing

SG Holdings and New Urban Development, which is affiliated with the Urban League of Greater Miami, broke ground on an affordable senior housing project in Miami Gardens after securing $63 million in construction funding.

The local developers are building Serenity Gardens through a land lease with the city of Miami Gardens on the property at 18330 N.W. 12th Ave., which is near the Miami Gardens Senior Family Center. The eight-story building will have 153 affordable apartments for seniors. They will range from one to two bedrooms.
