Making it count south florida developer bets big on a bold vision, and is building 10,000 housing units to prove it

Florida is short more than 100,000 housing units. That’s not a disputed figure-it’s the rough consensus among planners, advocates and developers who have watched affordability erode across the state for years. What’s rarer, however, is the willingness to act on it at genuine scale. Most developers talk about the crisis. A small number build into it. Fewer still build at a size and ambition necessary to move the needle. (PG 20-25)
